December 2022

All of us at O’Connell strongly feel that we have been very blessed and are fortunate for the relationships we have with our vendors, customers, and communities we live and work in.

This holiday season we are sharing this good fortune in your honor by making charitable donations to local organizations in the communities where each of our offices are located.

Hospice Tree Lighting in CNY

In Syracuse, it’s become a tradition that every year a few employees from our office volunteer to hang Christmas lights for Hospice of Central New York & the Finger Lakes.  This holiday season, we prefabricated a new tree, set everything up, and hung all the lights for the building.

Hospice of Central New York and the Finger Lakes serves as a compassionate resource at the end-of-life, and provides comprehensive comfort care to patients and families through unique interdisciplinary services, bereavement counseling, education, and collaboration.

Holiday Lighting for the Rochester Boys & Girls Club

OCE employees volunteered to hang holiday lights and decorations at the Boys and Girls Club of Rochester for the start of the holiday season. The work involved wrapping new lights around the tree outside, hanging lights around the front of the building, and setting up inflatable snowman, Grinch, and Santa Clause on the roof of the club.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester is an after-school youth program where passionate, caring professionals foster a sense of belonging for the youth in Rochester and help shape their path toward a great future. The club delivers on this commitment every day by providing a dedicated, neighborhood-based facility designed solely for youth programs and activities where kids feel physically and emotionally safe, connect with others, and build skills and confidence.

Great work team!
